About the artist
Eclectic textile animal sculpture.. My work is created with reclaimed textiles and found objects.
Personal Statement
I am a practicing artist, creating eclectic fabric animal sculptures. I ‘build’ my work using reclaimed textiles and found objects; wrapping, stuffing and hand-stitching my creatures into being.
I aim to capture a sense of narrative in the animals I make; striving to convey a sense of character and personality over realism. The fabrics I use are a paint palette of colour and texture, and carry the stories of the lives they have touched before, helping to inform the direction a piece of work takes.
