Portraits, landscapes, skies, sea and natural history in gouache, oil, acrylic, watercolour and pastel on various surfaces in different sizes.
Personal Statement
My background is in illustration (RHS Silver Gilt Medallist, books, magazines and packaging for Crabtree & Evelyn, Boots & Waitrose) designing merchandise for The National Trust and teaching (11 to 80 and in art school). For 7 years I ran a successful greeting card & kitchenware business while studying Old Master oil painting techniques at City Lit. Currently I'm painting in Bishops Palace Garden and the big skies from my coastal walks. I'm passionate about raising awareness and money for Brain Tumour Research through selling my homegrown plants and Christmas cards. On Thursdays I teach painting and drawing to adults.
