Angela Simmonds

Since my retirement in 2019 I have been able to fully pursue my hobby of painting. I have always enjoyed painting and drawing and over the years and have attended art classes that focused on the use of oils and watercolours. I now have more time to commit to painting and enjoy learning to use and experiment with different media and styles of art. I gain inspiration from photographs, also from my garden, the local area and holiday destinations. I have a small sketch book which I often take with me when I am out and about. I use mainly watercolours in my work to produce paintings based on nature but I also enjoy using pen & ink, coloured pencils and pastels.
