Nele Andersch
About the artist
Semi-abstract and abstract colourful oil and acrylic paintings and mixed media in various sizes. Collage and pastel too.
Personal Statement
Nele is an enthusiastic artist. Having been brought up in a creative family in Germany her roots are defined by European expressionist art. Colour is always an important creative tool. Her beginnings lie in pastel painting, having been taught by Jane Pickering in Sway, Hampshire for several years. Moving to the Chichester area, Nele continued with taking classes at Emily Ball’s Seawhite Studio, enjoying tuition from Katie Sollohub, Nick Bodimeade and Emily Ball. Increasingly, Nele’s development moved toward the non-figurative and abstract world of painting and North American post-war abstractionism. Nele enjoyed MOMA online classes and courses by Helen Turner at West Dean College. She would love to spend more time in her studio, working with ambition on her personal development as an artist, yet is busy running her successful international trade show consultancy.
