Our mission is simple. To break down barriers for professional and up-and-coming performers, providing them with free spaces and enabling them to showcase their brilliant work. We are a volunteer run organisation with the goal to make Chichester a go to place on the Fringe map for new and established artists.
Chichester Fringe is an arts festival in Chichester, West Sussex, showcasing theatre, comedy, music, dance, spoken word and more from talented performers. We break down barriers for artists, providing venues, mentoring support and a space without financial risk to the performers themselves (and of course to provide entertainment for audiences far and wide!).
Run by passionate volunteers, it’s our aim to support and mentor up-and-coming performers of the local area and beyond, by providing a free space to perform and enable them to showcase their work.

We recognised there wasn’t enough encouragement or support for the excellent performers on our doorstep (and beyond!), so we’re here to break down barriers and give people a platform.
It’s not just on-stage though; Chichester Fringe also gives opportunities for behind-the-scenes roles, including stage management / tech, photography, web design, social media and musical direction.
