About the artist

Large abstract flower painting in watercolour and coloured pencil.

Personal Statement

2024 has been a year of learning for me. Before this I painted smaller works to test my skills. It seems however that big and bold is popular with people buying art. I was thrilled to sell four paintings at an art show at Epsom racecourse this year, all very bright and bold. I am now looking at a different perspective, taking an abstract view of flowers. it's exciting to do as well as challenging but I've never been one to stand still, as an artist I need to challenge myself. It's a journey I am starting on and the large iris shown here is an example of what you will find in my work in 2025. I am also working in pen & ink now with colour washes. Small pieces that work well as cards for a special person. I know that budets continue to be tights so price my work to be affordable.
