I have been a Seascape Artist for many years, I love to experiment by using different mediums to create organic textures you would see on the beach. In my work I try to capture that sense of place, movement & atmosphere.
My preferred medium is Acrylic & mixed-media, I love the versatility, I aim to drawer the viewer into my work as if they were there. Each painting is unique with different approaches to capture energy & drama or very calm & thought provoking. In my work I focus on the changing quality of light, shafts of light breaking through the clouds to create the dappled sparkles that dance across the surface of the sea.
As I work, my paintings come alive, I never have a vision, I never know what is going to happen until it’s happened, it just evolves & becomes & this process for me is exciting, I put my feelings & soul into each piece & this resonates with the viewer, it evokes an emotion.
I hold regular Workshops in my Garden Studio & gain great satisfaction from teaching my techniques.
