About the artist
Watercolour painting with pen and ink; vintage travel poster inspired artworks of the local area, sea creatures and the sea
Personal Statement
Inspired by nature, the local landscape and the ever-changing sea, I create artworks that celebrate colour, pattern and place. Working primarily with watercolours combined with pen and ink, I design original contemporary pieces that bring a sense of joy and colour into the home. Alongside my prints, I create a range of homewares, gifts and cards, allowing my artwork to live beyond the wall in everyday life.
My collections are showcased throughout the year across West Sussex - in local independent stores, at pop-up events in John Lewis Chichester, and in our own shop in East Wittering village, where the surrounding coast continues to inspire my work daily.
My creative journey began with studying at art school and university, which led me into the vibrant world of fashion as a print designer, where I happily worked in for over 20 years. I started my career at a renowned colour and trend forecasting studio before working with luxury designers, seeing my prints appear on the catwalk at London and Tokyo Fashion Weeks. I later designed for many high street brands, creating commercial prints for global collections.
Today, I draw on the skills I developed in colour forecasting, trend research and print design to inform my artwork and product ranges. This background shapes my confident use of colour, composition and pattern, allowing me to translate fashion-led creativity into distinctive homewares and gifts that feel both contemporary and timeless.
