JOINING US FOR THE 2021 TRAIL?

A TRAIL OF DIVERSE AND EXCITING ART IS BUILDING UP AS MORE ARTISTS JOIN US DAY BY DAY
More than the usual numbers have registered at this stage, so if you are one of those artists – WELCOME! It’s great to have you on board.
Some of our regular artists have decided that, in their case, it would be prudent not to take part next spring. We quite understand, wish them safe and well, and hope to welcome them back for 2022
Now we are calling other artists of Trails past and those considering joining us for the first time in 2021. Registration is still open…but the deadline is approaching.
We have an upper limit of 180 artists this year, on a first come first served basis.
There is a real sense that artists are raring to go, and have large quantities of stored up art ready to share with eager visitors…so fingers crossed for the long awaited Art Trail 2021.
Trail Dates 2021 First 2 weekends in May
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, May 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Saturday, Sunday, May 8th, 9th

There is everything you need to know about the entry procedure and the ethos behind the event. It includes information about:
- Who can take part
- Dates to be available and the commitment required
- The type of work you can exhibit
- Premises and sharing
- What the fee includes and how to make your payment
- Planning the event in uncertain covid times
You will also find the user-friendly Artist Registration Form – you will be able to upload your images, add a description of your work, your artist’s statement and Venue details.
Registration Fee £75 payable by all 2021 participating artists – this reduced fee is an exception for the 2021 Trail only.
Each artist is to register and pay as an individual.
(2020 artists please note: the 2020 fee will not be carried over to 2021- refer to Newsletters sent in March 2020)
Registration will close on 30th November 2020
No late entries can be accepted.
For 2021, there is an upper limit of 180 artists – on a first come first served basis.
Once 180 artists have registered, no more entries will be accepted.

It is impossible to predict, at this early stage, whether the Trail can go ahead in a May 2021. So we have devised a 4 phase plan of action to best deal with changing times in 2020 – 2021.

At the moment the outcome is uncertain and there is a risk of losing your fee, but only if we are unfortunate enough to have to cancel at the last minute.
But as one artist recently wrote to say:
[The Art Trail] is a complete game changer for me, helping me to develop special relationships with some incredible clients. The sales from the Trail have been great and I just wanted to say thank you.
Our aim is to support and promote local artists – so if you are thinking about it… do take the plunge! And please forward this email to encourage others who are considering taking part.
