Allan Davies – venue 94 –  a landscape artist, has been exhibiting with the trail for a number of years. The overriding impression that you get from seeing his paintings is not the traditional stillness of landscape but an energetic, articulate rendering of an ever-changing world where the sky and the clouds dictate the mood.

Allan DaviesAllan Davies is a figurative painter who works from his studio based in Emsworth. Allan graduated B.A. Fine Art, at Bath Academy of Art, and has taught art in West Sussex and Hampshire areas since 1978. Allan has exhibited in a variety of galleries in the U.K. including a one-man exhibition at Pallant House, Chichester. He also has had work included in the Royal Society of Etchers and Engravers, South Bank, London. Since 2009 Allan has been able to give his artwork more quality time, concentrating on drawing and painting outdoors. From these studies, he is now producing larger studio paintings. His interest in these landscape studies has been the changing cloud formations, mood and light around West Sussex.
