Bringing Textiles to life

Charlotte Dawber – venue 83 – is new to the Trail this year and she brings something quite different.

“There is an old Irish proverb that the man that chases two hares catches neither, and while I hope it isn’t true, I fear that it is! There is not enough time in the day to realise all my thoughts, and I am trying to limit my projects to three dimensional fantasy figures (such as the Fairy GodMother and her henchmen shown here), but I am also making a few forays into two dimensional felt pictures and landscape quilts in mixed media. My background as an embroiderer and painter strongly influences the way I work, so I am having fun exploring what happens next.”
