Personal Statement

As a printmaker, my work is rooted in the natural world and the landscapes that surround me. I specialise in Linocut printing, capturing the wildlife and local scenery that inspire me during my walks with a camera in hand. These moments outdoors provide the foundation for my creative process - a way of observing light, form and movement that later finds expression through the texture and rhythms of carved Lino.

I studied Graphic design at Watford art college in Hertfordshire, where I developed a strong sense of composition that continues to influence my printmaking. Early in my career, I worked as an apprentice newspaper make-up artist, an experience that taught me the value of precision and clarity in visual storytelling. More recently, my eight years working for Handprinted in Bognor deepened my understanding of printmaking techniques and connected me with a vibrant community of artists.

I have been fortunate to have been able to meet and learn from many talented printmakers, whose work has influenced my own. Through my prints, I am able to celebrate the beauty of the British landscape and the wildlife that inhabits it, capturing it with honesty, texture and a sense of quiet wonder.
