Personal Statement
My work is highly influenced not just by my surroundings but by the Japanese sensibility of form, simpliCity and elegance. Living in the SouthDowns and close to the coast has given me huge inspiration to examine the structure of the ground beneath and a hint of those colours and strata can be found in my work.
Through my pieces, I aim to evoke a meditative experience, encouraging a moment of pause and reflection in the bustle of life. My work is highly influenced not just by my surroundings but by the Japanese sensibility of form, simpliCity and elegance. I believe that the objects we surround ourselves with can influence our emotional landscape, and I aspire for my work to serve as a gentle reminder of tranquility and harmony.
