Personal Statement

I have a medical background and enjoy the alchemy of natural dyes and ecoprinting.

I have sewn since childhood. My sense of colour has developed from nature, cultural influences and extensive travel experiences. I am a garden volunteer at West Dean Gardens.

My products are bespoke, handmade, and artisan, comprising
• Ecoprinted/naturally dyed textiles - bags, scarves, clothing, home decor
• Handmade artist sketchbooks
• Modern quilts- self-designed
• Mixed media art

-using upcycled fabrics. I offer seasonal workshops when the trees are in leaf.

Practising from my home studio in the South Downs, I use natural fabrics, upcycled & sourced from charity shops, friends etc.

I grow my own dye plants/source them locally. I work sustainably, minimising waste and water use, and reusing textiles.

I host Open Studios annually, and demonstrated ecoprint as part of Sussex Craft Week, 2025.
