Personal Statement

Morna’s joyful and uplifting work is rooted in painting and includes oils, acrylics, watercolours and mixed media. Since moving to Chichester in 2024 she has taken inspiration from the Sussex landscape, including the South Downs, coast and gardens. Morna loves colour and light and deploys these to create expressive pieces.

Morna has exhibited widely, including the Baffins Pop-Up Art Exhibition, Oxmarket Contemporary and Artisan Gallery in Chichester as well as at the Mall Galleries, Muse Gallery, the Strand Gallery, Gabriel Fine Art and Jeannie Avent Gallery in London.

Her background is in History of Art, museums and education, including 23 years at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Since leaving the V&A in 2014 she has pursued her art practice full-time, including a Master of Fine Art degree at Wimbledon College of Arts. She also holds a BA in History of Art from UCL and an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester.

    Roman Fields is just off the Lavant Road as you leave Chichester heading North. Turn left just before the petrol station / Co-op. There is parking on the driveway & in visitor parking bays.
