About the artist

handmade ceramics, thrown and sculpted

Personal Statement

Fae is the heart behind Pottery Lodge, a creative ceramics studio in Chichester where people come to slow down, connect, and discover the joy of making with clay. She began her pottery journey on the wheel, drawn to the rhythm and balance of throwing, but over time discovered a deep love for sculpting, exploring form, texture, and expression through handbuilding. This mix of techniques brings a unique energy to her own work and inspires the variety of classes she offers.

Teaching quickly became Fae’s greatest passion. She loves sharing her skills and watching students find their own creative flow, whether they’re complete beginners or returning makers. Her relaxed, encouraging approach focuses on enjoying the process, celebrating imperfections, and learning at your own pace.

At Pottery Lodge, every piece tells a story, from a first wobbly bowl to a detailed sculpture. Fae takes pride in helping her students see the beauty in each stage of their journey. The studio has become a space for creativity and calm, where people can unwind, connect with others, and experience the simple satisfaction of creating something by hand.
