Personal Statement
I work with wire and metal and enjoy how something so rigid and industrial can be turned into a natural form, giving it character and a sense of movement. I am particularly inspired by birds and their freedom to go where they like. It is a challenge to capture their characteristics and feeling of movement and every sculpture is different as the birds emerge from the metal in their own way.
