About the artist
Leather journals (blank) bound in variations of medieval long stitch, together with Khadi sketchbooks. Workshops monthly in Chichester.
Personal Statement
I’ve always been fascinated by paper and what can be created with it. About eleven years ago I started making journals, using new and upcycled leather, and that quickly led onto all sorts of different shapes of books and unusual stitches. As well as medieval long stitch bindings I also explored modern ways of making books incorporating origami techniques.
I sell my books in a crafts co-operative in Nineveh House in Arundel and run monthly workshops for making leather journals in my Chichester studio. I love passing on my skills and knowledge of the materials.
