Blacksmith / coppersmith making decorative and practical items for the home and garden
Personal Statement
Bringing people’s ideas to life through both contemporary and traditional blacksmithing is my passion: large or small, iron or copper, fashioned or fabricated. This passion began for me in the 1990s when I was gifted a blacksmithing summer school place at West Dean College, West Sussex. I continued my training at West Dean, with further courses in both traditional and contemporary blacksmithing styles – both of which you will see in evidence throughout my work today. I’ve now built my own forge and continue to develop my art with materials from organisations such as the Rural Development Commission and ‘The Blacksmith’s Craft’.
