Jenny Murrell

I studied Ceramics and Constructed Textiles at Camberwell School of Art in the early 60’s where I was fortunate enough to have Lucie Rie and Peter Collingwood among my tutors.
This was followed by the Art Teachers diploma course in Brighton. I spent the next 40 years teaching art, specialising in ceramics and textiles to A-level.
On leaving teaching I set up my own workshop where I now make slab-built containers and a few bowls. The surfaces often being inspired by objects and textures found on the beach which is right on my doorstep.
