A mixture of free motion embroidered canvases based on local architecture, nature themed lino prints, stationery and jewellery.
Personal Statement
My name is Jess and I’m a part time artist, printmaker, crafter, Illustrator and free motion embroiderer based in a little Seaside town called Selsey in the UK.
I mostly create botanical lino prints, to which I design, hand carve and print myself in my home studio as well as creating machine embroidery art pieces that are based off of local architecture.
In 2019 I graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art, not realising that 6 years later that I would delve back into the Fine Art world with my embroidery pieces and lino prints!
My lino prints and illustrations are inspired and based on nature, mostly of flowers and botanical forms that are printed onto eco friendly and handmade papers. My free motion embroidery is based off of architecture as I've always admired architecture with bold lines and fine details being within the structure of a building and I've loved using a sewing machine to capture these shapes and weaving them into cloth showing their raw self and highlighting the beauty of their design.
My plan is to hone my skills and progress them further creating more pieces that showcase and highlight the world around us.

When you reach a small roundabout that's opposite St. Peters Church take the first exit down Church Rd. My home studio is on the left hand side at the far end of the street.
