Lino prints and paintings, and narrative line drawings. My work is imaginative and figurative.
Personal Statement
My work is varied, as is my life, and also life itself. There has always been a narrative theme within a large amount of my work, and this is especially reflected in my detailed pen drawings, based on my life experiences.
As a painter and printmaker, I have also responded to the delight that I feel, living by the sea. Something I have always wanted to do.
The main direction for my artwork remains my work with trees, which is based on my response to a selection of trees I have become familiar with. My work with trees in one particular area has also revealed a connection with dragons.
My reason for working with trees is evolving, and a big part of it is to engage other people's interest with the magic of trees.
