Large mixed media landscape paintings and charcoal drawings focused mainly on rivers and seascapes.
Personal Statement
I love experimenting and creating mixed media landscapes on board using a variety of techniques, particularly with acrylics, oils, oil pastels, photography and paper lithography. I also enjoy drawing landscapes on paper using charcoals. Recently, I have been studying rivers looking at the reflections on the water and how the landscape changes throughout the seasons and how the light looks at different times in the day. Many of my paintings and drawings are inspired by the River Wey in Surrey. I also enjoy painting and sketching seascapes -especially West Wittering beach.
I completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Westdean College 3 years ago where I learnt many of the techniques I use in my mixed media paintings and drawings today.
