Personal Statement
Handmade glass. Sculptural and functional work, all personally designed and made using traditional furnace glassblowing and lampworking techniques. At my home studio I have a lampworking (or flameworking) set up, where a high temperature flame is used to melt and manipulate the glass. Inspiration for the work comes from many areas of the natural world, but particularly the colours, forms and textures found in tropical plants and flowers.
