Ryan Marsh

Not everyone spends their time drawing fried eggs what have smiley faces or dogs wearing tiny frog hats, but here we are. I’m Ryan, the illustrator behind Been Creating, my creative world of illustrated gifts, cards, and homewares designed to bring a little sunshine to you and yours.

I start things with a digital sketch and a ton of revisions (because usually, it does look like I drew it with my eyes shut the first few times). Once I’m happy with the concept, I switch to illustrating in vector format. I love the freedom to quickly adapt and try out spontaneous ideas even if they are questionable, (yes, I’m talking to you, smiley egg guy). It keeps the process fresh and creative.

I handle the production for a lot of my products, from printing mugs and coasters to hand-finishing greeting cards and notepads. A lot of care goes into not just my illustrations, but also the quality of the products, packaging, and the entire experience—ensuring sunshine is forecast for everyone on the receiving end.

What began as a personal creative escape has grown into a way to put smiles on faces, including my own one :)
