Personal Statement
I have spent my time as an artist studying the human form and delighting in the way we are all so unique. I bring this information into my work often exaggerating the work to give extra height, movement.
A lot of my time is spent introducing adult groups to sculpture and in doing so one is constantly learning and being challenged.
I feel we approach working in clay with less expectation and so then are delighted with the results whether large or small, figurative, having worked from a model or by taking our inspiration from another source.
Working at the easel is a completely different experience but the two disciplines inform each other especially if doing portraits. My commissions are usually fairly colourful and lively.
