Alison Carpenter

I am a nature-inspired artist working primarily in digital illustration, creating bold, contemporary designs that celebrate the tranquility and small wonders of the natural world. My creative journey began with traditional mediums — watercolour, acrylic and ink — and I still return to them when I want the slower, tactile pleasure of brush on paper. Those early foundations continue to shape my work, but over time I discovered the freedom and versatility of digital art.

Digital illustration allows me to draw and paint anywhere, capturing ideas as they come to me. I’m drawn to the endless possibilities of colour, texture and layering, and the ability to experiment, refine and transform a piece until it feels just right.

Alongside creating finished artwork, I’m passionate about sharing the wellbeing and calm that creativity brings. I design paint-your-own art kits to help others experience the joy of making something beautiful with their own hands, whether they’re beginners or returning to art after many years.

My aim is to create art that feels uplifting, accessible and connected to nature — and to inspire others to find the same joy in creativity.
