Linda Vine

I am a professional artist living and working in West Sussex, England. I started my career in carpet design followed by many years in the greetings cards industry. I now create impressionistic and expressive paintings, predominantly seascapes and landscapes. Spending time outdoors fills me with a great sense of joy as I take in my surroundings, the sounds, scents and shifting light of the coast and countryside. With this in mind I try to convey the sense of wonder I experience and create something beautiful you can enjoy in to your home.‘My desire to paint is ignited by the colour, light and atmosphere surrounding me. On the shore I breathe in deeply, water glimmers like crystal dancing against colours of the deep. The water spreads its salty taste in the air as waves surge and retreat. Birdsong fills the overgrown lanes, their voices carried on the wind. Cow parsley offers up its delicate pale blooms in a simple yet beguiling way. Hillsides gently glow in the afternoon sun and delicate flower heads sway in the meadows.’
