My cunning plan for the Art Trail weekends is to turn the garden of Venue 118 into an art trail all of its own…with guided tours.

Through the Black Gate, up the Long Gallery to the Tool Box; on to the patio, then up to the lower terrace and deck, past the Windmill Girls and into the Hanging Garden with its Owl Den and North Wall trail.

Then, up the Greenway to the Upper Terrace, little Blue House and Apple Tower, up into the Pavilion Wood Yard, down into the workshop and into the studio. Out into the Library and shop and, finally, out into the Bird Garden.

Amongst all the flowers, weeds, shrubs, trees and wildlife, lots and lots (too many to count!) of drawings, paintings, collages, photos, prints and objects.

Good fun…even if nobody comes. (After all, who wants to come to Southbourne?)

Hope it doesn’t rain too much…

Bill Wilcox, Venue 118

If you would like to plan a visit to see Bill in his gARTden, here is more about him, with directions to the mysterious Venue 118
