Personal Statement
My ceramic career began in1988 working as a decorator for Chelsea Pottery, London. This led to me to working freelance creating tile panels and decorative pottery until taking up a BA in design for crafts in wood and ceramic from Brighton University in 1995. Subsequent work came from making and teaching adults in Italy and the UK and obtaining a PGCE and teaching A level art before moving to Italy in 2003.
Following on from my return to UK in 2006 my interest in art therapy has led to working at Portsmouth Mind as a ceramic tutor, obtaining a diploma in integrative art psychotherapy from IATE and work experience at Richmond Fellowship.
During these years I have worked with and learnt from many established potters in France and Cornwall and Italy and as such have a wide range of interest in all types of processes which I continue to explore from my newly acquired studio in West Wittering.
