About the artist
Landscapes, abstracts and geometric paintings, mostly in acrylic; also in acrylic ink, oil, watercolour and mixed media.
Personal Statement
Drawing and painting have always held a fascination for me and played a large part in my decision to study architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art many years ago.
Before retirement I painted with watercolour (mainly landscapes) and was greatly influenced by the work of John Blockley. Since retirement I have developed an interest in geometric and abstract art using a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, oil paint and acrylic ink.
I continue to enjoy exploring new avenues of approach with cross-overs between the realistic and the abstract. My recent work has seen a return to landscape themes with a definite focus on colour.
I display and sell my work through exhibitions at the Oxmarket Contemporary and at the Artisan Gallery in Chichester.
