Sculptor Vincent Gray – Venue 86 – has produced a proposal for East Gate Square.
Keats lived in Chichester for a brief period in 1819 and it was here he started work on the poem ‘Eve of St Agnes’. A blue plaque commemorates the house he stayed on East Gate Square.
“I am raising money to have the work cast in bronze. The target is £30,000 and to date have raised a little over £5,000, sufficient to start the sculpture.”
