Constructions, bowls and slab built containers. Surfaces often inspired by objects and textures found on the beach.
Personal Statement
Jenny studied Ceramics and Constructed textiles at Camberwell School of Art in the early 60's where she was fortunate enough to have Lucie Rie and Peter Collingwood among her tutors.
This was followed by the Art Teachers Diploma Course in Brighton and Jenny spent the next 40 years teaching art, specialising in ceramics and textiles up to A-level.
On leaving teaching she set up her own workshop where she now makes slab built containers and a few bowls. The surfaces are often inspired by objects and textures found on the beach which is right on Jenny's doorstep.
