Personal Statement
The nature of my paintings lies in our interaction with the world and how we perceive and interpret our connections to it. My current practice explores the essence of human experience by translating the emotions of significant moments and how memories and dreams accumulate in layers and can disintegrate, shift, slip and ultimately fade away. With a focus on colour, movement and gesture I seek to recreate these memories and dreamscapes which often depict semi-abstract and surreal landscapes.
