Personal Statement
A lifetime of painting has brought me full circle. During these years I have experimented with different media and subjects.
After many years of using watercolour, painting fairly similar themes of seascapes, landscapes and flowers I started drawing and painting portraits. Finding painting portraits in watercolour a challenge too far, with expert tuition I progressed to using oils.
This in turn has given me the confidence to use oils in broadening my range of subjects, to be experimental, and try different techniques.
I am continuing on a learning curve which is endless but gives me great pleasure and satisfaction.
