About the artist
Contemporary Glass for Churches, Secular and Public Buildings including windows, entrance doors, screens, backlit and sculptural features.
Personal Statement
Jane Campbell works in contemporary glass including architectural stained glass, etched, sandblasted and silvered glass, hand blown, slumped and toughened large scale coloured glass enamelling, awards and trophies.
She has created contemporary commissions both large and small scale for new and established churches, secular and public buildings including the Westminster City Archives stained glass window in the public reading room; the Wrekin College Chapel Entrance Doors and an interior wall feature at the Chertsey Hospital multi faith Centre.
Some commissions create a main focal point and are colourful conveying a message or theme. Others are more abstract enhancing an area with light, reflection and colour. Each commission whether figurative, symbolic or abstract is designed in a unique way, drawing from her wide experience of working in many glass techniques, processes and combinations. She is a Churchill Fellow and it is extremely important for her to work alongside the client and architect from the design conception to glass installation.
Also a Steward for The Artists" General Benevolent Institution. This charity financially supports artists who have fallen on hard times. Please visit her studio to find out more about her work, commissioning and the A.G.B.I.
