Personal Statement
I go beach combing most days collecting driftwood shaped and made smooth by the sea, these finds might be parts of boats, breakwaters, pallets and old paintbrushes and it is always
a joy to find buoys or fenders, shells, sea glass and feathers. The wood is slowly dried and used to create sculptures of birds, fishes, lighthouses and boats.
My paintings are mostly of the sea and sky, views across the Solent at different times of the day, oil on canvas.
