About the artist
Collage and paintings inspired by my love of nature and swimming.
Personal Statement
I’m a British artist living and working in Southbourne. I studied art foundation
in Brighton, followed by a gap year before university which turned in to a gap
decade before having children. I travelled the world and worked in the
charity sector.
After having my first child I picked up my brushes again.
A friend bought my first painting while it was still drying.
I continued to experiment with mixed media with a big focus on PLAY
and discovered my love of collage, colour and gold leaf.
I have exhibited across West Sussex, Hampshire, London and Brighton.
My art revolves around my love and connection with the ocean and sea
swimming. Through my pieces I aim to capture the joy within the waves and
the feeling of freedom and connection to nature that comes with swimming
in open waters.
I use recycled and collected vintage papers and Indian rag paper to create my
collages and acrylic, watercolour and Indian inks in my paintings.
