About the artist
I have been a keen amateur photographer for over 5 years which I combine with my love of cycling in the local area, which allows me flexible access, often very early in the morning or as the sun is setting.
Personal Statement
I am a mostly self taught landscape photographer looking to increase my audience and skillset, as well as connect with other local artists.
I capture unique and harder to reach landscapes using the richest of morning and evening light. It is often truly breathtaking, particularly around Chichester Harbour and on the South Downs (Kingly Vale is my favourite location). I am a teacher at heart and I love to show people how beautiful the countryside around us can be during the solitude of these times. (I work in Chichester as a supply teacher and as a Forest School facilitator).
I would love to develop my photography and would like to gain a place on the Chichester Open Studios Art Trail because I would appreciate feedback from the visitors. I hope it would give me the confidence to make my interest into a profitable business. I am an experienced photographer and use a Canon EOS R7 mirrorless camera. However, I would appreciate being twinned with a mentor who could help me develop the marketing and printing side of a potential business.
