Personal Statement
I am currently looking at people on the beach, using highly edited photographic reference to produce large and small oil paintings. Colour and composition play equal part in creating seasonal drama's, with sand and sea providing a stage for walkers, surfers...and their dogs.
BIOGRAPHY
Carolyn is a Sussex based artist who initially trained and worked professionally as a Graphic Designer in London.
While studying Fine Art (BA Hons) Carolyn mastered the processes of mono printing, etching and woodcut, alongside her favoured medium of oil painting. She has two large scale works on display at St. Richard's Hospital, Chichester and her work has sold to buyers in Bristol, Brighton and Southampton, as well as locally.
