Hand thrown porcelain ceramics. Functional and decorative vases and bowls.
Personal Statement
Each unique piece is thrown as thinly as possible, in porcelain on the wheel, then turned when leather- hard to refine the form. Smooth, gentle surfaces, finished in calm coloured glazes are the focus of my work. I make my own glazes and carry out multiple tests to achieve the right colours that work best with the surface decoration. My work is fired in an electric kiln.
