Personal Statement

I love forging iron. Its in the blood. Im passionate about history too, and this couples well with forging. As well as the aforementioned, I'm a historic armoure also, and have been lucky enough to be involved with experimental archeaology metalurgy projects at Butser Ancient Farm museum. These interests in historic crafts often expresses in my work. Its not uncommon to see a Nordic Rune or medieval scroll lurking in my pieces. I love combining iron, wood and copper also, and not limited to these either. I'm always lookimg for interesting materials to work with.

My favourite armoury periods are Saxon and 15th century, although I also love all things pirate!
