Personal Statement
Hi my name is Katrina , I’ve lived in this area all my life , my family have farmed here for two generations. I have a deep connection with the wildlife, landscape and seascape here on the Manhood peninsula . The inspiration for my oil paintings is drawn from this beautiful place . I love to paint the sea and farmland in bright oil colours . Every day I walk my dog poppy and swim as much as I can in West and East wittering taking photos along the way , I’m a self taught artist , I didn’t pick up paint brush till I was 43 , I believe everyone is creative all you have to do is give it a go ! , I listen to my intuition for colour choice and like to paint large moving sky's and turquoise waters , yet I’m on a journey of discovery and excited to see how my paintings and photographs unfold .
