About the artist
Large and small acrylic framed paintings of fanciful floral landscapes, including flowers, forests and cityscapes
Personal Statement
I was born and raised on the south coast of England in West Sussex, where I currently live with my husband. I have both the sea and countryside within a few miles from my home. I have had an interest in art since school and am passionate about the Impressionist era and slightly later. This movement is a style which captures an image as if someone had seen it for just a moment, with lots of colours and mainly outdoor scenes.
I have been painting on canvas in oils and acrylics for around 20+ years and I am self-taught. My techniques include dry brushing, sponging, pouring, as well as traditional brushes and palette knives in various shapes. I use acrylic paint, metallic, gloss and pearl plus some acrylic inks. Each painting varnished. I paint when sitting in my garden, my studio/office or even at the dining table!
