Personal Statement
I sculpt beneath the South Downs in weather good, bad and indifferent. Most of the stone comes from beneath my feet - sussex malmstone. Some hard (blue stone) some soft - some chalk - some a mixture.
The Roman villa of Bignor lies 300m from our house and I have endeavoured to recreate the sensation of finding under my feet the ordinary or quite beautiful sculpture from a different age 2000 years ago.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have sculpting each piece.
